“Immortality” is a mixed media installation shown at the interdisciplinary Art fest EmEm at Trakų Vokė Manner, Lithuania. This art project was inspired by story of immortal cells of Henrietta Lacks as told by PhD student of Life Sciences Centre of Vilnius University who researches such cells. The cellar of the manner was still waiting for renovation back then and made the project complete. 

Installation was made of:

– non-usable petri dishes

– eight images of Henrietta Lacks painted on canvas with complimentary colours

– Printed and framed ready-made Wikipedia entry on Henrietta Lacks

– Looping video of phd. candidate J. K. explaining about the immortal cells played on the mobile phone with broken glass

– Video projection of shaking test tube

– Prints of HeLa cell
